This Privacy Policy governs the use of the News-Circuit application ("News-Circuit", hereinafter "the Application"), an automated video production and publishing pipeline. This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the News-Circuit application.

1. Data Controller / Verantwortlicher
The operator of the News-Circuit application is responsible for data processing under GDPR. For privacy-related inquiries, please contact the operator directly.
2. Data We Collect / Erhobene Daten
The News-Circuit application processes only the following data:
- Login credentials: Username and hashed password (scrypt) for authentication
- Session data: A temporary signed session cookie (
nc_session) for the duration of the browser session - API keys: Access credentials for third-party services (OpenAI, Google/YouTube, TikTok) – stored encrypted
- Log data: Technical log data (errors, process times) for debugging purposes
- Published content: Video data, metadata and subtitles uploaded to YouTube/TikTok
3. Legal Basis / Rechtsgrundlage
Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation of the application).
4. Cookies
The News-Circuit application uses only one technically necessary session cookie (nc_session) required for authentication. No tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party cookies are set. The cookie is automatically deleted when the browser is closed.
5. TikTok API Usage
The News-Circuit application uses the TikTok API to upload videos to TikTok on behalf of the authorized account holder. News-Circuit does not collect, store, or share any TikTok user data beyond what is strictly necessary for the video upload process. For details, see TikTok's Privacy Policy.
6. Third-Party Services / Drittdienste
The News-Circuit application communicates with the following external services:
- OpenAI – AI-powered text generation (Privacy Policy)
- Google / YouTube – video upload (Privacy Policy)
- TikTok – video upload (Privacy Policy)
- Pexels – royalty-free images (Privacy Policy)
- Google Gemini – AI image generation (Privacy Policy)
7. Data Retention / Speicherdauer
Published videos and metadata are stored locally for a maximum of 30 days and then automatically deleted. Log files are retained for a maximum of 7 days. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed.
8. Your Rights / Ihre Rechte (Art. 15–21 DSGVO)
As a data subject, you have the right to:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR) – information about stored personal data
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) – correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) – "right to be forgotten"
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection (Art. 21 GDPR) – to data processing
To exercise these rights, please contact the operator. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
9. Security / Datensicherheit
The News-Circuit application uses TLS/HTTPS for all transmissions. Passwords are stored exclusively as scrypt hashes. Access is protected by brute-force prevention (5 attempts / 15 minutes).
10. Changes to This Policy / Änderungen
The operator reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy as required by changes in law or technical adjustments.
